Our purpose
We combine a private browser-based calculator with plain-language explanations and direct links to official sources. The goal is to help a Florida employee understand how gross wages can become a net paycheck without requiring an account or uploading a pay stub.
The site is not affiliated with the IRS, Social Security Administration, Florida Department of Revenue or an employer payroll provider. Results are estimates and are not tax, legal, payroll or financial advice.
How calculations are maintained
Calculation rules are encoded from primary government publications, isolated by tax year and tested at important boundaries. The source registry identifies the material used for federal withholding, payroll taxes and the Florida individual income-tax statement.
A tax-year update requires new constants, source review, automated tests and explicit activation. Presentation changes are checked against existing fixtures so they do not silently change identical calculation outputs.
Editorial process
Automation supports arithmetic, internal links and page consistency, but it does not make a page trustworthy by itself. Published pages are kept to a limited topical set and reviewed for intent, duplication, source support and user usefulness.
The organization is currently the disclosed publisher. A named individual author or professional reviewer will not be claimed in structured data until a real person has agreed to take responsibility and their credentials can be verified.
Corrections and accountability
Readers can report a calculation issue, outdated source, unclear assumption or accessibility problem through the corrections page. Useful reports include the page URL, tax year, non-sensitive inputs, expected result and a primary source when available.
Calculator fields run locally in the browser. Users should not send Social Security numbers, pay stubs or other sensitive records when reporting a problem.
What we will not do
We will not use competitor calculators as tax authority, generate unlimited near-duplicate location pages, claim guaranteed accuracy or publish invented author credentials. New tools are added only when their calculation rules and maintenance requirements can be supported.
